WELCOME TO THE VICTORIAN B&B IN VANKLEEK HILL, THE GINGERBREAD CAPITAL OF ONTARIO!
In 1853 this lot was purchased by members of the Loyal Orange Order for the sum of 13 pounds. In that same year, the Loyal Orange Lodge Order no. 214 was built. For over 150 years, the building remained in use as a meeting place for the Orange Lodge members. The second floor was the meeting room and the caretaker lived on the ground floor. In recent years, the Vankleek Hill Lodge retired. The meeting house was sold and has undergone extensive renovations in order to be used as a family home. This elegant two storey century Victorian home is situated on the Vankleek Hill plateau and is located between Montreal and Ottawa. It won the 2012 Christmas Tour and was also part of a TV program in 2015. In this beautiful town, we are within walking distance to the main road where you will find fine dining, shops, post office, museum, library, park and right in town for many events that are carried throughout the year.
